Welcome

Nestled in the picturesque Noordhoek Valley, just outside Cape Town, the original home of the South African Print Collection can be found. Inspired by this view the idea to create a range of images that capture the spirit of South Africa was born by artist J.H. Wright…

Since her early tuition at Art School in Johannesburg and graduation to illustration with top magazines, Joka had always dreamt of portraying the rich scenery, flora and fauna of South Africa in an ideal form for tourists - both South African and overseas - to collect and keep as mementoes. In the early 1990's Joka began creating the images which now span:

Cape Coastal Scenes Cape
Wineland Scenes
Eastern Cape & Natal Scenes
Bushman Rock Art
Wildlife, Guinea Fowl & Related Scenes
Wildlife Studies
Individual Wildlife Images
Individual Bird Images
Ethnic & African Scenes
Tribal Scenes

Giving a total range of over 450 images in various styles of presentation - mounted and clear shrink-wrapped for protection and ease of transport for visitors to South Africa. The range is as diverse and vibrant as the people and scenery that make up our country and Joka is continually expanding the imagery as she explores new scenes and events particular to the South African experience. On receiving the range in 1998, a SATOUR (South African Tourism Association) executive described the S.A. Print Collection as:

'That which totally describes the multicultural and geographical experience that is South Africa'.
